Aug 29, 2011: Missed all the great weather in August because I was gone for Marine Corps Reserve training. Now planning a weekend on the Cub River in southeast Idaho...will be Paul's first camping trip! Then some Bechler Meadow action in mid-September!

July 30, 2011: Here's a reminder of a great program. You can be a volunteer fly-fisher in Yellowstone National Park. Go to

July 25, 2011: "Yellowstone's Backcountry Cutthroats" will be available at Blue Ribbon Flies exclusively in West Yellowstone.

July 18, 2011: Went to the park July 14-18, 2011. Not alot of fishing because of the really high water, but some good fishing on the Gibbon near Norris. Lots of good family time, and good hiking with Paul(!).

June 15, 2011: Water throughout the park is still really high. Be careful out there! Our first trip will be July 17th, going for the salmon fly hatch in the Black Canyon or Lower Lamar.
